Potting Up: a repotting workshop

  • U Street Neighborhood Association PO Box 73784 Washington, DC, 20009 United States of America (map)

Spring is the best time to pot up plants — the warming weather coinciding with fresh soil for the roots leads to a pleasant growing season even for our indoor babies. There are many reasons to repot and pot up plants, including providing the roots with more space & increasing the nutrients available in the soil. Consider repotting your plant children every 12 to 18 months and potting them up if the roots are outgrowing their previous pot.

Bring your plants to the garden and learn how to give them love during this chill afternoon gathering. We will provide soil, fertilizer, and a few extra pots — as well as introduce you to our garden space to learn more. You can also bring any plants you want to giveaway/swap with neighbors!
