TAG Zine 🌞 SUMMER EDITION

Dear Temp Garden Friends <3

Summer is almost over! In many ways it has been a season of abundance at the Garden, and I’m so excited to open submissions for our 3rd community zine project to harvest all that’s (over)grown.

It feels like no matter how old you are, summer makes you nostalgic for what’s still going on. Like the vines overtaking their trellis, what has grown up around you that you’ll miss when it’s gone? What wild surprises filled in the plans you laid in Spring? And what are you leaving behind as we head into Fall?

In this summer zine – reflect on your GARDEN ENTANGLEMENTS.

DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH
~

Submissions for this zine, like our last one, can be handwritten or typed – it’s all up to you and we’ll need a mix of both. We’re looking for original art, written reflections, recipes, photo collages – anything you can dream up! Each page of our zine will be the size of a page of printer paper folded in half (hamburger-style). If you’re called to draw something, keep that sizing in mind. If that’s not possible, no worries – I can also resize anything by scanning and moving it around digitally.

You can bring any physical manifestation of your ideas to the Garden (& any thoughts/questions). Or reach me virtually at saracmack8@gmail.com. I’ll be hosting an in-person submission crafting session on 9/5, but you’re welcome to zine any time in the garden. I want to collect everything before September 8th so that I can put the zine together asap and distribute it hopefully the week of the Autumn equinox!

Long live zines, DIY spirit, and TAG.

<3 sara
