For our second ever Theatre in the Garden, we are more than excited to present a read-through of local playwright Henery Wyand's new work titled “COON”.
coon is an experimental exploration of black femininity and ritual. Set in the middle of the woods, a gang of raccoons create a community of love with the pressure of raccoon hunters. How do these rituals of love create a space of serenity and peace?
Hosted by our partners at 4615 Theatre, come ready to explore mature themes involving race and gender in this new staged reading. Afterwards you’ll have a chance to meet and discuss the piece with the playwright and learn how to support our local emerging artists.
Admission is free and all are welcome!
